There are a variety of vehicle lifts that are designed to transport scooters and wheelchairs on the outside of a vehicle using a trailer hitch. Class 3 trailer hitches are typically used for this purpose, as they are rated for a higher weight capacity than Class 1 or Class 2 hitches. One popular option is the Harmar Scooter and Wheelchair Lift, which is designed for use with Class 3 hitches. It has a weight capacity of up to 350 pounds and can accommodate most scooters and wheelchairs. Another option is the Trilift Mobility and Harmar are also designed for use with Class 3 hitches. It has a weight capacity of up to 325 pounds and features a simple, one-switch operation for ease of use. It's important to note that not all Class 3 hitches are compatible with all vehicle lifts, so it's important to check the manufacturer's specifications to ensure compatibility before making a purchase. Additionally, it's important to make sure that the weight of the scooter or wheelchair being transported does not exceed the weight capacity of the lift or hitch.
