Stretch System
Works to alleviate stiffness in your lower back, hips and thighs. How does it work? The air system in the ottoman squeezes the legs while it lowers and raises in 20 increments.

8 Basic Massage Modes
Using two or four firm rubber massage heads, the Panasonic Swede-AtsuÂ® Wave massagechair accurately simulates stroking with the palm of hand, pressing with the heel of the hand, kneading with thumbs and pressure with thumbs. It also covers a total of 135 square inches - including the neck, shoulder and back. There are eight different massage modes in all:

Kneading
A gentle in-and-out motion using four massage heads. This function is especially effective on your neck and shoulders. Try both kneading modes for a different kneading pattern and sensation.

Rolling
Muscles are gently stretched as the massage heads move up and down along the back. When quot;regionalquot; is selected the heads will move in a 4-inch range. When quot;fullquot; is selected, the heads will move in a 27-inch range.

Tapping
Invigorating sensation of hands rapidly tapping on your back muscles. Try both tapping modes for a different rhythm.

Swedish
pressure, using four rollers to simulate the palms of hands.

Shiatsu
Strong deep-tissue pressure and stretching using two massage heads.

Compression
Firm rubbing motion across the back. Two modes are available.

Hawaiian
A gentle rubbing motion across the back.

Percussion
Deep-pressure massage that stimulates acupoints.
